We are accredited by the Michigan Non-Public Schools Accrediting Association.
Our Kindergarten program is held all day every day.
Religious education is a high priority. Catholic traditions, values, and morals are emphasized in every aspect of the student’s day.
Students celebrate with students from four other Catholic Schools annually.
All K-8th grade students attend a student-led Mass celebration once per week as well as on Holy Days of Obligation and other special days like Ash Wednesday.
Students participate in a variety of service projects throughout the year.
Weekly Stations of the Cross are attended during Lent.
Rosary is prayed daily during the months of October (month of the rosary) and May (Mary’s month).
Students participate in a May Crowning celebration. Catholic Schools Week is celebrated with daily activities.
Each staff member has a classroom website connected to school website.
We offer interscholastic sports opportunities such as girls’ volleyball and basketball, boys’ basketball, and co-ed bowling through a partnership with St. Stanislaus for fifth and sixth graders. We participate as members of the Grand Rapids Area Catholic Elementary Athletic Council (GRACEAC).
Special services are provided on site by Allegan Area Educational Service Agency and HPS for speech, hearing, occupational therapy, and social services after identification of need.

Your 4 year old preschool student may have the option of bussing either through Hopkins Public Schools or our own SMV School bus.
Bussing
Students living within the Hopkins Public Schools district may be bussed to and from St. Mary’s Visitation by the Hopkins Public School Transportation Department. Arrangements can be made with the Hopkins Transportation Department.
Students living in other school districts may make other travel arrangements or rely on the St. Mary’s Visitation School bus for transportation. Arrangements can be made in the school office.
Hot Lunch Program
A hot lunch and milk program is available each day provided by the Hopkins Public Schools Food Service Program.
