Mrs. Nickels teaches the 5th and 6th grade combined classroom and has been teaching at SMV for 26 years.   She is also an SMV alum, which at the time was called Holy Family School.  She served as a teacher's aide at SMV while earning her Bachelor's degree from Grand Valley State University in Elementary Education and Integrated Science. She's been married to her husband, Brian, for 18 years, and they are members of the SMV Parish.  Mrs. Nickels is proud to have the dual role of being an SMV parent with two of her children graduating from and one currently attending SMV School.  In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, and reading.
